Your Identity

“So we, being many, are one body in Christ and every one members one of another.”
Romans 12:5


Many times, the things of the spirit are so simple that many can't take advantage of it. Many of Gods children are not aware of how important the body of Christ is to them and what it does for them.


You see, God is not a man, He neither thinks, nor plans like a man. Neither is he impressed the same way a man might be. When the scriptures said “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.” (Hebrews 10:25).


You can be sure that it is for a most vital reason. Why should a God-child go to church or even become part of church. The church of Christ is not a denomination, a pattern or place of worship and servitude; the church is the body of Christ.


 It is where every God-child no matter how much the number is identified. This is perhaps one of the most powerful phenomena in the life today. When you gave your life to the Lord, you became a part of His body, of which He is the Head.


This is why the God-child needs to realise that his life is no longer his to do with as he please, but he is now part of something and someone much larger and bigger than himself. In Ephesians 1:22-23, we see something amazing and peculiar about the body of which we are now a part of.


It says “And hath put all things under his feet, and given him to be the head over all things to the church, which is the body, the fullness of him that fileth all in all.” Christ is the Head of this body; therefore, the sufficiency of the body is Christ.


 Chapter 4:15-16 shows us the implications of this. “...Which is the head,  even Christ: from whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted together by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.”



DECLARATION
I am a joint-heir with Christ; a part of the body of Christ. I am productive in every facet of my life.

Walk In Fullness Of Life

“…Don't become so well adjusted to your culture that you fit into it, without thinking.
Instead fix your attention on God. You will be changed from the inside out, readily
recognize what he wants from you and respond to it… God brings out the best of you,
develops well formed maturity in you.” Romans 12:2 MSG


I love the scripture which says he should walk in the newness of life, and I believe that this new life has a fullness, its not a short circuit race track, no it's a long one full of immeasurable benefits.


Some persons step into this new life but don't live it to the full. Some persons have been known to say “this is my life and I am goingto live it to the full or I'm young so I'll live my life to its fullest.”


This should be the child of God's brand statement “living the God recreated life in Christ to the full: some of God's children who don't live the life God affords them in Jesus Christ can be likened to the cicadas can stay as larve for as long as 10-15 years, after which they become adults and live for about 7 days then die.


This is a most unfortunate life span, picture living all your life as a creeping larva and having to enjoy the beauty of your beautiful wings which enables you to fly only for 7days.

Thanks be to God who has made us higher, for we have the ability to be transformed as soon as we start renewing our minds through God's word which brings about our inside and out transformation, causing us to live in full, the glorious life God prepared for us.


Start digging deep into the Word of God early to discover all that God has in store for you in Christ. Let the Word transform your mind causing you to live in the fullness of life and above only!


DECLARATION
As I renew my mind through your word, I do away with everything contranry to fullness of this glorious life. Amen.

Fruits Of Salvation 5

“Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that
beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.” John 15:2


No man is ever born with salvation. The first fruit of your salvation is seen in your submission to God's Spirit. Every individual on earth is controlled by one of two things; the Spirit or the flesh.


A natural man is body, soul, and spirit. When the word 'soul' appears in the Scriptures, there are three words that can be interchanged with it. Soul can be interchanged with heart, mind, or blood.


 For the latter of the three, it is rarely used. Little wonder, Leviticus 17:10b-11 says, “…I will even set my face against that soul that eateth blood, and will cut him off from among his people. For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls…”


 The soul of a living thing is in the blood. You see, everything your mind (soul) has now, you were not born with. Before the Spirit is introduced, every natural man is controlled by the blood (that is, the mind).


 The problem is when some Christians receive salvation, they still let the information accumulated in their mind lead them. Romans 12:2 says, “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”


 This brings us to the second fruit of salvation; A RENEWED MIND. After receiving a new Spirit, you must then ensure your mind is renewed. The instrument of this renewal process has been given. The ability for your mind to be renewed is not coming from God; it is your decision.


The renewing of your mind can only happen through the Word of God. If the new Spirit would have a perfect work, then you must shut down the things that come through the flesh. You can only do this by renewing your mind. Let the Word of God define your thinking process. Let it overlay on the previous information you have gathered in your mind.

DECLARATION
I renew my mind daily with God's Word. I choose to let the Word of God super impose itself on my mind. I think like Christ!

Fruits Of Salvation 4

“Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.” Matthew 7:20


The only way you know if someone is a Christian is by the fruits they bear. The proof of your Christianity is not in attending Sunday services, or dressing in a holier-than thou way. The proof of your Christianity is tied to the fruits that salvation has produced in you.


If the fruits of salvation are not evident in your life, you are backsliding. This is because in the realms of the Spirit, there is no room for stagnancy. There is always movement in the spiritual realm; what differentiates the movement is the direction at which one is headed.


 If you are not making progress in the spiritual realm, you are declining. Backsliding doesn't mean one is now a sinner, rather, it means that individual is stepping away from the things of the cross. Yesterday, we established that God is not responsible for bearing the fruits of salvation in you; rather, you are!


 This means if the fruits of salvation would be born in your life, it would be your decision, pursuit and a cultivation you make. If you have received salvation, one of the fruits you have to desire and work towards is for your life to be led by the Spirit; not by your flesh.


 Galatians 5:16-17 says, “This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so  that ye cannot do the things that ye would.”


 You see, the life of every natural man is molded by the flesh; that is, he is controlled and governed by the flesh. A change can only happen when the Spirit is introduced. But you see, the introduction of the Spirit is never enough.


You must feed your Spirit to the point where it gains hegemony and preeminence over your flesh. The Bible likens the Spirit of God to a still small voice. This shows that the Spirit would never force Himself on you; or compel you to make decisions. He wants you to be attentive; He wants you to submit yourself to His lordship. The first fruit of your salvation is being led by God's Spirit (Romans 8:14).


DECLARATION
Lord, I submit myself to the lordship of your Spirit. I am attentive and obedient to every of His instructions. I starve my flesh, and feed my Spirit daily!
